He was predeceased by: his former wife Betty Ann Durham Stewart; his son Richard Wayne Stewart; his stepdaughter Laura Roberts; and his sisters, Martha Johnson and Pat Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Coppage Stewart; his children, Terri Ann Davis (Britt) and William Russell "Rusty" Stewart (Denise); his stepson David Webb; his grandchildren, Matt Stewart (Whitney), Dusty Stewart (Paige), Jake Stewart, Lacey Richards (Thomas), Justin Stewart (Ashley), Ashley Lambert (Hayden), Brittoni Garner (Bailey), Cale Davis (Alexa), Jennifer Roberts (Nirmit) and Tyler Roberts; his great grandchildren, Andi Lynn, Liddy, Blake, Donna, John Austin, Stella, Kate, Ellie, Sadie, Rhett, Grant, Barrett and Adelyn; and his pet Charlie.
