He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Bostic and Mattie Maude Thornton Wheatley; his wife Katherine Norman of Lincoln County; his sons, Robert Allen Wheatley and Louis Kenneth Wheatley; his grandson Don Wheatley, Jr.; and his siblings, Talitha Hopkins, George Wheatley, Thomas Wheatley and Manuel Wheatley.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Wheatley (Barbara) of Blairsville, Norman Wheatley (Marie) of Tiger and Kathy W. Smith (Lyn) of Appling; his sister Irene Raffini of Anderson, SC; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Wheatley, Heather Smith, Carlton Wheatley, Ryan Wheatley, Ben Wheatley and Megan Compton. He is also survived by six great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
