She was predeceased by: her husband Russel Tankersley; her children, Elaine Newman and Rusty Tankersley; her brother Eugene Miles (Annie Laurie Tankersley); and her aunts, Nell Hoover and Edith Barton.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Kelly Schubert (Will) and Brad Newman; her great grandchildren, William and Anna Schubert; her nephews, Billy Tankersley and Bobby Tankersley (Claire); her great-niece Emily Lucero; her great-nephew Robert Tankersley (Ashley); her niece Kate; and also, Miles, Eli and Jacob.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Kiokee Baptist Church, P.O. Box 430, Appling, Georgia 30802.
