He was predeceased by: his former wife Bontine Hardaway; and his siblings, James Hardaway, Robert Lee "Bob" Hardaway, Clifford Hardaway, Ruth Murray, Billy Hardaway, Marion Brown, Alex Hardaway and Jack Hardaway.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his daughter Bonnie McCauley (David); his stepchildren, Diann Grigsby, Barbara Dover, Marie Turner and Fred Turner, Jr.; his brother Horace Hardaway (Mercelia); his grandson Chad Owens (Kelli); and his great grandchildren, Katelyn, Grant and Griffin Owens.
