It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Powell in Appling, Georgia, born in Lincolnton, Georgia, who passed away on May 5, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Powell (Gene) and Almeta Kannarney Powell Blackwell; his wife Patsy; his son Tommy Powell; his stepfather James Blackwell; and his siblings, Joe Grady Powell, Alicia Powell Martin and Helen Powell Sparks.
He is survived by: his sons, Eugene Randall "Randy" Powell, Jr. and James Hammond "Jimmy" Powell; his sister Susan Blackwell; his grandchildren, Katie Lee, LeighAnne Powell and Brandon Powell; and his great grandchildren, Lila Anne Lee, Vivian Kate Lee, Amira Jaghab, Kylie Jaghab and Charlie Jaghab.
