He was predeceased by: his parents, Elder Leland Dorcey and Hester Boatright Lightsey; his former wife Cora Lee Johnson Lightsey; his grandson Isaac Ardle Lightsey; his siblings, John Henry Lightsey, Elder Earlish Lightsey (Barbara Jean), Thomas Lightsey (Betty), Pauline Ring and Eulene Lightsey; and his brother-in-law Clarence Thornton.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Crosby Lightsey of Baxley; his son Brian Lightsey (Ursula); his stepchildren, Regina Sutton (Michael) of Baxley and Troy Crosby (Stephanie) of Surrency; his grandchildren, Malachi Lightsey, Blakelee Lightsey, Kristen Drawdy (Hunter), Kandace Crosby (Chazz Todd), Matthew Sutton, Brandon Crosby (Sadie Smith) and Sarah Sutton; his siblings, Elder Jerry Lightsey (Debbie) of Baxley, Willard Lightsey (Rita) of Baxley, Mildred Thornton of Garden City and Josey Buie (Thomas) of Rincon; and his nephews, Travis Lightsey, Lambert Lightsey, Lonnie Lightsey, Chris Lightsey, Steven Earl Lightsey, John Wesley Lightsey, Lee Lightsey, Keith Buie, Andy Thornton, Jessie Ring, Jerry Ring and Leland Ring. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
