With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Allen Sherrod Cutts Willingham of Appling, Georgia, who passed away on November 8, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Sherrod Cutts Willingham and Julian Bartow Willingham; and his son Harrison Willingham. He is survived by: his friend Allen; his wife Susan Willingham of Nashville, TN; his children, Kate Shew (Sam) of Louisville, CO and George Willingham of Falls Church, VA; his grandson Elliott Allen Shew; and his siblings, Bartow Willingham (Sheri) of Melbourne, FL, Mary Wettrich (Myron) of Naples, FL, Pam Harrison (Jeff) of Augusta, GA and Bet Willingham (Rick Ellsbury) of Kensington, MD.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as countless friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church (4921 Columbia Rd, Grovetown, GA 30813).
In Allen's memory, the family invites donations to Heads Up for Harry (headsupforharry.org), a nonprofit supporting youth mental health.
