William Peters Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Peters (Andersonville, Georgia), born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though William may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those William touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Shirley Jean Peters (Henderson); his parents, Floyd Peters and Cletus Smiley Peters (Knipple); his children, Lorraine Rockwell (James), Mark Thomas Peters (Jennette) and Amanda Hanlon (Michael); and his grandchildren, Robert, Nathan, Ryan, Brianna and Billy. He was also cherished by four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Andersonville National Cemetery (496 Cemetery Road, Andersonville, GA 31711).
