She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Ruis and Dorothy Wiggins Weiss; and her siblings, Elaine Muldrew, Diane Bayne and Jack Ruis.
She is survived by: her husband Walter Potter, Jr. of Sumter County; her children, Amanda Hall (Lee) of Mitchell County and David Dent (Tonya) of Sumter County; her grandchildren, Madison Ebbers, Taylor Hall, Jordian Hall, Justin Hall, Abby Dent and Alli Dent; her siblings, Rob Ruis of Asheville, NC, Eddie Ruis (Janet) of Fernandina Beach, FL, Jerry Ruis of Crisp County, GA and Amy Smith (Danny) of Milledgeville, GA; her uncle Perry; her aunt Marie Brock of Americus, GA; her sister-in-law Sharon Potter of Baxley, GA; and her pets, Winston and Buddy. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
