She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Yarbrough and Juanita Barfield Yarbrough; her husband George Allen Fowler; and her sister Peggy Barfield. She is survived by: her children, Jody Hudson of Columbus and Sheila Bodrey (Greg) of Andersonville, Georgia; her siblings, Roy Yarbrough, Jr. (Donna) of Ellaville, Georgia, Elaine Ray (Kevin) of Daytona and Vera Williamson of Oglethorpe, Georgia.; and her grandchildren, Makahla Jones (Marcus), James Bodrey, Tabatha Derrington, Kaleb Dunn, Chad Hudson and Taylor Henderson. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
