He was predeceased by: his wife Eileen. He is survived by: his sons, Mark (Nicole) and Robin Deppen (Darryl). He is also survived by five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael's Church in memory of Bob and Eileen Wheat, since the church was so dear to their hearts.
