He was predeceased by: his parents, Obelia Jordan Story and Cullen Greene; his stepfather Walter Ben Story Sr. Born; his brothers, Jackie Story and Billie Story; and his son Joseph Hannor.
He is survived by: his children, Alvis "James" Troutman (Barbara Walters) of Montezuma, GA, Veronica Davis (Karl) of Woodbridge, VA, Jeffrey Greene of Gilbert, AZ, James Edward Greene Jr. of Akron, OH and Raimon Greene of Akron, OH; his daughter-in-law Wendy Hannor; his grandchildren, Markiel Witchard, Marcus Greene, Joshua Greene, Jasmine Jackson, Ji'Selynn, Jaylen and Jolan Hannor; his siblings, Sonny Snead of Akron, OH, Walter Ben Story, Jr. of Montezuma, GA, Richard Story (Gloria) of Montezuma, GA and Marshell Canady (Jeffrey) of Montezuma, GA; and his sister-in-law Burnell Story of Montezuma, GA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives loved ones and friends.
Other masked attendees are welcomed but will be expected to practice social distancing. Graveside services are likely to be held on ground that is uneven, which is out of the control of Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc. We ask that you take this into consideration when choosing footwear, such as shoes with high, thin heels.
