He was predeceased by: his parents, McKinley Whitfield and Callie Heggs Whitfield; and his brother William McKinley Whitfield. He is survived by: his wife Alnetia Whitfield of Montezuma, Georgia; and his daughters, Oneida Whitfield of Stockbridge and Ranee Whitfield of Odenton, Maryland. He is also survived by six step grandchildren; twelve step great grandchildren; two sisters.
