He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Jerome Greer, Sr. and Octavia Adams-Waters; his wife Mary Greer; his grandparents, Ruth McKenzie Adams-Green and Harvey Adams; his siblings, Ruth Ann Adams, Crenshaw Adams, Gary Waters and Charlie Waters; his great-nephew Quay Harris; and the mothers of children, Bettye Rackley-Green and Marilyn Reese-Haslam.
He is survived by: his children, Charlene Green-Moore of Morrow, Markeith J. Curgil of Montezuma, Latavia Greer of Fort Valley and Justin Greer of Savannah, Georgia; his grandchildren, Marc Fuller, Jr. of Morrow, LaQuasha Battle of Montezuma, Diamonte Greer of Los Angeles, Charde Martin (Deionte) of Lawrenceville, Markeith L. Curgil of Montezuma, Isaiah Greer of Fort Valley, Kierra Greer of Cartersville and Hakeem Hicks of Fort Valley, Georgia; his stepgrandsons, Alonzo Hicks of Fort Valley, Georgia and Eric Hicks, Jr. of Fort Valley, Georgia; his great grandchildren, Alaysia Engram of Montezuma, Aubrey Engram of Montezuma, Zaylen Engram of Montezuma, Luka Martin of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Ever Martin of Lawrenceville, Georgia; and his siblings, Ophelia Waters of Warner Robins, Marquita Waters-Adams (Billy) of Douglasville, Phyllistine Waters-Gardner (David) of Kennesaw, Georgia and Linda Faye Bethel of Miami, Florida. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Markeith J. Curgil's Residence (6726 GA-26, Montezuma, GA 31063). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Second Salem Baptist Church (191 Twin Churches Rd, Montezuma, GA 31063).
