He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel H. Nutt and Bertha Mae Dillard Nutt; and his siblings, Estelle Gay, May Brock, Marvin Nutt, Onis Nutt and Henry Nutt.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Youngblood Nutt of Americus; his sons, Samuel James Nutt Jr. (Kimberly) of Ellaville, William E. Nutt (Carolyn) of Americus and Albert Lee Nutt of Ellaville; his sister Louise Burch of Tifton; his grandchildren, William Clayton Nutt "Clay" and Macy Nutt Singleton (Beau); and his great grandchild Cleve Singleton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
