With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Ruth Shiver (Americus, Georgia), born in Nortonville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 16, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gobel Phillips and Mary Key Phillips of Washington; her husband Claude Julian Shiver; her siblings, Dorothy Adams, Hilda Blaner, Earl Phillips, Jimmie Phillips, Bobby Phillips and Frank Phillips; and her stepdaughter Virginia McGregor.
She is survived by: her daughters, Margie Apperson (Ricky) of Sylvester and Julia VanHorn (Marty) of Cordele; her brother Billy Phillips (Janet) of Rochester, KY; her brother-in-law Terry Blaner of Henderson, KY.; and her grandchildren, Wendy Taylor (Austin), Michelle Larkins (Marty), Lauren Pullen (Hilton), Megan VanHorn, Wesley Wilkes (Judy) and Brad Nelson. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
