She was predeceased by: her parents, Montford Owen Blackburn, Sr. and Maggie Belle Morgan Blackburn; her husbands, Wyatt Allen Shumake, Sr. and Robert Jones, Sr.; and her son W. Allen Shumake, Jr..

She is survived by: her daughters, Mary South, Angie Livesay and Melanie Shumake Hawkins (Rich); her grandchildren, Shawna King, Micah Ward (Ashley), Shannon South, Shara Horne, Marlea Hawkins, Roman Hawkins, Asher Hawkins and Bryton Hawkins; her great grandchildren, Robert King, Ryan King, Olivia King, Dylan King, Alaya Horne, Wyatt Ward, Killian Horne and Lawson Ward; her daughter-in-law Gina Thomson; her adoptive daughters, Judy Lloyd and Ailliene Phillips; and her stepchildren, Bobby Jones, Claire Thompson and Judy Crawley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and a very large extended family.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hancock Funeral Home, Inc. (427 S Lee St, Americus, GA 31709). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cornerstone Church (245 Southland Rd, Americus, GA 31709). A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the Oak Grove Cemetery (400 Rees St, Americus, GA 31709).
