He was predeceased by: his parents, Claud Brownlee and Donnie Allen Brownlee; his wife Maggie Lucille Brownlee; and his siblings, Ethel Nobles, Elizabeth Clenney, Marlene Johnson and David Brownlee.

He is survived by: his sons-in-law, Kim Brownlee of Americus and Kelly Manning (James) of Ellaville; his grandchildren, Jordan Manning and Justin Manning; and his sisters-in-law, Evon Spurlin and Dorothy Toms. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
