He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Head and Louise Head; and his sister Janice Duke. He is survived by: his wife Anne Gay Head; his children, Diane White (Michael) and Joseph Head (Michele); his granddaughters, Anna Marie Harmon (Will), Raena White, Lucy White and Lily Head; and his siblings, Marie Hale (Hollis) and Hal Head (Freida).

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the "Benevolence Fund" at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 1256 Hwy. 280 East, Americus, Georgia 31709.
