He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas, Jr. and Margie Jackson Powell; his wife Brenda Powell; and his grandson Jonathon Powell. He is survived by: his children, Paul Powell (Heather) of Smithville, GA, Tina Powell of Ellaville and Tami Sullivan (Wade) of Ellaville; his grandchildren, James Tubbs (Avery), Aaron Powell, Naomi Powell, Cheslie Fripp (Stephen), Blake Stringfellow, Dustin Sullivan (Hannah) and Tyler Woods; and his sister Wanda Adams (Alvin) of Valdosta, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
