He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Miss Dorothy Louise Carter; his children, Cheryl Bonnor, James Carter of Newark, NJ, Minister David Carter of Newark, NJ, Dorothy Branch, Gwendolyn Hicks and Melva Williams of Kankakee, IL; and his son-in-law Jerome Thomas. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, other relatives and friends.
