With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Benjamin Joseph Kennedy of Americus, Georgia, who passed away on January 21, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Kennedy and Sallie Kennedy; and his siblings, W. T., Grady, Johnny, Millard, Ruby, Essie, Bessie, Bonnie, Lonnie, Gracie and Irene.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie; his children, Mark (Jan) and Linda (late Bobby Rogers); and his great grandchildren, Scott Rogers (Jamie), Sandi Filmore (Willie), Stephen Rogers (Jennifer), Kelly Schramm (Judd), Kyle Kennedy (Lacey), Katie Rogers, Cohen Rogers, Hunter Pearce, Daveon Filmore, Hayden Rogers, Grayson Rogers, Kennedy Schramm, Laine Schramm, Keegan Kennedy and Lanier Kennedy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Central Baptist Church (190 Upper River Rd, Americus, GA 31709). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Preston City Cemetery Cemetery (40 Cemetery Rd, Preston, GA 31824).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Preston Baptist Church.
