We are sad to announce that on February 8, 2025, at the age of 80, Jearrell Vickers of Ambrose, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Howell Vickers and Louise Merritt Vickers; and his sister Faye Bender. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Merritt Vickers of Ambrose, GA; his children, Brad Vickers of Ambrose, GA, Liz Ann Carver of Ambrose, GA and Christy Vickers (Chad Jewell) of Ambrose, GA; his granddaughters, Brianna Iselin (Jonathan) of Alma, GA, Miranda Carver of Statesboro, GA and Brittany Merritt Vickers of Ambrose, GA; his great grandchild Mila Loredo of Alma, GA; and his brothers, James (Judy) and Earl Vickers (Judy) of Ambrose, GA. He is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery (977 New Hope Church Rd, Ambrose, GA 31512).
