He is survived by: his wife Elane Davis Echols; his daughter Pam; his son-in-law Bill Valentine of Good Hope, Georgia; his granddaughter Nicole (Keith Gilbert) of Cleveland; his great grandchildren, Ava Gilbert of Cleveland, Wyatt Gilbert of Cleveland and Easton Smith of Cleveland; and his sisters, Jane Murphy of Alto, Dorothy Merle Turner of Lula and Martha Kinsey of Mt. Airy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
