It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Martin Whitfield Kepler of Alto, Georgia, born in Stephens, Georgia, who passed away on July 15, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otho H. Martin and Ressie Ayers Martin; her former husband Otho Hardman Whitfield; her husband William W. Kepler; her stepson Steve Kepler; her siblings, Katherine Martin Dalton, Sue Martin Woodbury, Earl Martin, Ed Martin, Hansel Martin, Jim Martin and William Martin; and her great grandchildren, Daniel Tatum and Michael Wethington.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice; her son-in-law Buddy Cantrell of Alto; her sons, Rick (Carolyn Whitfield) and Randy (Lori Whitfield); her stepchildren, Karen Sue Hill of Byron, OH, Linda Warner of Byron, OH, Margaret Cooley of Byron, OH, Walter Kepler of Byron, OH and Richard M. Kepler of Byron, OH; and her brother Butch Martin of Cornelia. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great grandchildren.
