He was predeceased by: his parents, R. H. Blackburn and Henrietta Petitt Blackburn; and his siblings, Pauline Ferguson, Hazel Pritchett, Elise Terry Sutton, Daisy Blackburn and Fay Blackburn.
He is survived by: his wife Pearl Goss Blackburn of Alto; his children, Jerry (Shelia Blackburn), David (Jackie Blackburn), Tim (Barbie Blackburn) and Libby; and his son-in-law Rickey Gragg of Cornelia. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
