He was predeceased by: his wife Vinnie Sue Palmer Hinton; his daughter Nancy Jo Dalton; and his grandchildren, Mitchell Dallas Ivie and Michael Lee Ivie, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Ann Shirley, Lib Huffman and Carol; and his son-in-law Johnny Gastley of Hiawassee. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; several nieces and nephews.
