She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilhelm Ackermann and Margarethe Ackermann; her husband Richard Nichols Stanford; her son Harry Stanford; and her brother Hans Günther Ackermann.
She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy (Robin Wilkinson) and Margo (Michael Lupo); her grandchildren, Jeff Thomas (Jenny) of Texas, Dan Riedel (Adriana) of Auburn and Adria Waters (Eric) of Gadsden, Alabama; her great grandchildren, Harrison, Hayden, Hunter Riedel, Kyle Cotton and Madison Riedel; and her nieces and nephews, Sandy Ackermann of Wiesbaden, Germany and Ralph Ackermann of Wiesbaden, Germany. She is also survived by relatives and close friends.
