She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. James C. Smith and Mamie Cowart Smith; and her husband John Keeton Hughes II. She is survived by: her children, John Keeton Hughes III and Lisa Farriss (Mike) of Nashville; her granddaughter Lizzy Farriss; and her brother Ronnie Smith (Mary Alice) of Duluth. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
