He is survived by: his children, Christopher Velez (Cristina) of Maryland, Jose Velez (Jeanne) of Florida, Victoria Hensley (Chris) of Virginia, Lindsay Cannon (Stephen) of Georgia, Susan Cortez (Bert) of South Georgia, Theresa Velez of Florida and Laura Pidgursky (Peter) of Florida; his former wives, Eleanor Valle and Kathy Tichenor; and his cousin Frankie Trinidad.
