He was predeceased by: his mother Vernie Smith Echols; and his wife Valvoreth Morrison Echols. He is survived by: his father George Duncan; his daughter Teresa; his son-in-law Bruce Jackson of Alto; his sons, Tim Echols of Alto, Jarl (Beth Echols), Judah (Kelly Echols) and Jonathan (Denise Echols); his sister Janice Echols Dale; his brother-in-law Bob of Alto; and his sister JoAnn Echols Brock of Lula. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, thirty-nine great- grandchildren with the fortieth great-grandchild on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.
