He was predeceased by: his parents, Quillian James Vaughan and Avis Mozell Boyd Vaughan; his wife Maggie Walls Vaughan; his sister Lisa Vaughan; and his grandsons, Joseph Bradley Clanton, Jr. and James Andrew Clanton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Renee Clanton of Covington and Kellie Vaughan of Alto; his sisters, Betty Franklin and Jean Horsley of Carrollton; his grandchildren, Sierra Bolton of Gainesville, T. C, Garrett (Maxine) of Las Vegas and Ashley Clanton of Covington; and his great grandchildren, Bridgett, Tayler, Kiley, Tiffany, Miranda, Paisley, Daisy and Lee.
