He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Braxton "Brac" and Monteen Roberts Purdy. He is survived by: his wife Janell Ballew Purdy; his children, Tommy Dean (Cindy Purdy) of Alto, GA, Terry Lee Purdy of Alto, GA and Tonya Renee; his son-in-law Kenneth Kimbrell of Cornelia, GA; his siblings, Willard Purdy of Commerce, GA and Jane Ellen Bates of Lula, GA; and his grandchildren, Autumn Purdy, Victoria, Ethan Franklin, Austin Smith and Addie Smith. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Chapel (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531).
