He was predeceased by: his parents, Purvie Benton Parson and Milda Myrtle Dale Parson; his wife Omazell Armour Parson; his sons, Wesley Parson and Stanley Parson; his grandchildren, Dasha Parson and Steve Troy Parson; his daughter-in-law Karen Parson; and his siblings, Harold Parson, Isabell Oliver, Ruth Ward and Louise Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Parson of Alto, J. B. Parson of Alto, Shirley (Charlie Akers) and Linda Hopper of Cornelia; his grandchildren, Leah Williams, Amy Hilland, Cody Parson, Charles Akers, Doug Akers, Larry Hopper, Joseph Hopper, Jeremy Parson and Chasten Parson; and his sisters, Ethelyene Roberts of Bronson, Joyce Parker of Pea Ridge and Margie Oliver of Clermont. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
