It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Owens of Alto, Georgia, who passed away on May 31, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Hooper and Lillie Mae Hooper; her daughter Barbara Owens Armour; and her siblings, Deward Hooper (Minnie), Roy F. Hooper (Lorene), Dallas Hooper, Clara Hooper and Ruth Evans (Giles).
She is survived by: her sons, Douglas Owens, Denver Owens of Alto, Tony Thomas of Alto and Dayton Sosbee of Alto; her son-in-law L. J. Armour of Clarkesville; her grandchildren, Nicholas Armour (Sabrina) of Gainesville and Cheree Alexander (Matt) of Clarkesville; her great grandchild Brother Ronald Hooper of Cornelia; and her niece LaDonna Plum of Alto. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great great niece.
