He was predeceased by: his father Troy Franklin; his sister Lora Gale Barnes Oglesby; and his stepsister Linda Phillips. He is survived by: his daughter Samantha (Eric Carlson); his grandsons, Tyler, Sam and Connor; his stepmother Jean Colson Barnes of Macon; his siblings, Donald Barnes (Jo) of Cherokee, NC, Ronald Barnes (Wanda) of Alston, Sue Carter (Henry) of Alston, Angie Lewis (Mike) of Alston and Robbie Waller (Doyle) of Alston; his brother-in-law John Oglesby of Alston; his stepsiblings, Kenny Colson of Butler, Ann Blaxton (Larry) of Macon and Debbie Robinson of Macon; his sister Deloris James (Dale) of Alston; and his uncle Harvey Barnes (Hortense) of Brunswick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
