He was predeceased by: his brother Virgil; and his parents, Frank and Theresa. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Miller; his children, Amy Hanks (Chris) and William F Miller III (Kelly); and his grandchildren, Brian, Catherine and Alex.

The family welcomes donations to The Arbor Day Foundation as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
