She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Winfrey Shields, Sr.; her son Roy Winfrey Shields, Jr.; and her parents, Floyd Hunt and Helen Hunt. She is survived by: her children, Don Shields (Mary), Esther Golden, Suzanne Thornett (Brian) and Brook Ford; her daughter-in-law Sheila Shields; and her siblings, Floyd Hunt (Joan) and Sharon Hurlburt Numerous (Ed). She is also survived by Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren & Great Great Grandchildren.
