With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Smith Jr. of Alpharetta, Georgia, born in Bishopville, South Carolina, who passed away on May 19, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Veralyn Merritt Smith; his daughters, Marcille Nance of Cornelius, NC and Laura Armistead (Kerry) of Alpharetta, Georgia; his grandchildren, Cameron, Richard Nance, Ben, Grayson and Mack Armistead; and his parents, Richard Durwood Smith, Sr. and Marjorie Lucille Mozingo Smith.
