She is survived by: her husband Walter; her son Lee Bates; and her sisters, Gail Burgess and Elsie Knight. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Alpharetta Methodist Church (69 N Main St, Alpharetta, GA 30009). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery.
