Lavern Whiteside Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lavern Whiteside of Alpharetta, Georgia, who passed away on August 12, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lavern may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lavern touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her brother Curtis Sanders (Jimmy Whiteside); and her daughter Rosemarie Whiteside. She is survived by: her daughter Scarlett Whiteside Nelson of Alpharetta, GA; and her sister Ann Downing of Nashville, TN.
Flowers are appreciated, but Lavern was committed to her sister's ministry, and requested that donations be made to Downing Ministries.
