He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Rev. Robert Burnett of Black Mountain, NC, Sue Nell Jones Stapleton and Leroy Stapleton of Metter, GA; and his aunt Jan Simmons of Cairo, GA.. He is survived by: his parents, Dr. Fay S. Burnett and Rev. Brock Burnett of Elberton, GA; his fiancé Ansley Tucker of Alpharetta; his brother Brandon Burnett (Morgan) of Winder; his niece Charlotte Mae; his nephew Ian Brock Burnett of Winder; his grandmother Ruth Burnett of Black Mountain, NC.; his aunt Nancee Skipper (Dickson) of Mint Hill, NC; and his uncles, Richard Burnett (Marta) of Due West, SC and Rev. Doug Simmons of Cairo, GA.
After contracting Covid-19 in December 2020, he struggled with significant mental health issues, ultimately gave up hope and chose to end his life.
