She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Wilbon Shealy, Sr. and Ruth Evelyn Barfield Shealy; her husband Charles H. Powell; and her brothers, Cecil Wilbon Shealy, Jr. and William Kendall Shealy.
She is survived by: her daughter Leigh; her son-in-law Tim Carpenter; her son Brad; her daughter-in-law Carla Powell; and her sisters, Diane Childs of Monroe, GA, Beverly Harper of Cordele, GA and Miriam Talley of Loganville, GA.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
