He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Desmond and Ana Desmond; his wife Sandra; his children, Kelley and James Jr.; and his granddaughter Mikayla.

When he told one of his famous stories, tissues were needed for the laughter tears that rolled down cheeks. His hat story was a classic and makes us smile remembering his smile and laughter when he told it. He was a proud Irishman in looks, personality and the gift of gab and there will never be Another that makes us laugh as Jim did. He will be sorely missed. Jim and Cathy Foster”
