She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Johnson and Ella Johnson (Martens); her brother Verdan; and her sister-in-law Kathy. She is survived by: her children, Kristin Weger (David) of Alpharetta, GA and Rick Peterson of Springfield, VA; and her grandchildren, Katherine and Benjamin. She is also survived by six nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Christ the King Lutheran Church Music Department, 5575 Peachtree Parkway, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092.
