He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth L. and Mary E. Scott; his brother Richard G. Scott (Janene); his close friend Betty; his brother K. Wayne (Ann); and his grandson James R. Scott.

He is survived by: his brothers, Walter C. (Ina) and J. Mitchell (Sue); his wife Betty Lue Endres; his children, Lawrence R. Scott (Jane) of Cottonwood Heights and Carol S. McKinney (Tom) of Alpharetta, Georgia.; and his grandchildren, Julie, Jenny, Michelle, Rachel, Dan, Emily and Laura. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren.
