He is survived by: his wife Muriel Virginia Thompson Martin; his son Drew Martin; his grandchildren, Hunter and Jacob Martin; his brothers, Donald Martin and Ross Martin; his children, Dale Martin (Christy), Dane Martin (Ashley) and Dawn Taylor (Chris) of Alma; and his siblings, James Boyd Martin, Jr., Mike Martin (Gail) of Alma, Elizabeth Martin "Cookie" of Alma and Kathy Douglas (Earl) of Valdosta, GA.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
