We bid farewell to Valdese Peacock of Alma, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 10, 2024 at the age of 88. Valdese touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Clinton Eugene Peacock; her parents, Grady Boatright and Vianner Boatright; and her siblings, Violas, Voughna "Barney" Boatright, Valarie Thompson and Verlie Walsh.
She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Chaney (Ronnie) of Marianna; her foster son Phil Harper of Cleveland, Tennessee.; her sisters, Velma Stewart of Alma, Virue Stewart and Vernice Jordan of Dixie Union, Georgia.; and her grandchildren, Amanda Chaney Vowan of Marianna and James Chaney (Emily) of Alma.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Crosby Funeral Home (207 W 12th St, Alma, GA 31510). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Southside Church of God (102 Taylor Rd, Alma, GA 31510).
