He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Clyde Bratcher, Sr. and Virginia Pritchet Bratcher; and his sister Mary Jean Roebuck. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Deen Bratcher; his son Michael Melvin Bratcher; his grandchildren, Adam Michael Bratcher and Leah Heather Bratcher; and his sister Virginia "Ginny" Howell (George). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
