He was predeceased by: his brother Charles Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Emma Lou Spivey Simmons; his sons, Lee Simmons (Christie), Marc Simmons (Kristy), Brian Simmons (Stacey) and Lewis; his grandchildren, Laney, Lacey, Logan, Stephen and Eryn Simmons; and his sister Mary Hutcheson (David). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crosby Funeral Home (207 W 12th St, Alma, GA 31510). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren; enjoyed donating and spending his time at the local food bank.
